Photographing hummingbirds is an enjoyable but challenging hobby. I started photographing ruby-throat hummingbirds in 1999 and look forward to April for the return of the northern migration. I usually get my first hummers in April and get to enjoy them until late October.
This site will present photos through six slideshows of 20 photos each and thumbnails of all 120 ruby-throated hummingbirds and you choose the way that works best for you. All photos are low-resolution because they work best on a website and allow more people to enjoy them.
Hummingbird video clips, GIFs, jigsaw puzzles and rollovers/mouseovers are also available for your enjoyment.
The camera I am currently using is a Sony DSC-F828 digital that takes 8 megapixel photos.
I will list some of my favorite hummingbird sites that you can visit for information. Just click on Links and choose a site to visit. I believe you can find an answer for all of your hummingbird questions on one of these sites.
My 2007 photos, 2006 photos, and some 2005 photos are posted at e-hummingbirds.com Please visit and check them out.
